7 month volunteer programme for a sustainable future

Join forces with climate activists from all over the world to help create sustainable living in the Caribbean

 

3 MONTHS STUDIES & PREPARATION

The first part of the course is based at CICD in East Yorkshire in England. Studies include:
Global affairs – History and culture of St Vincent and the Grenadines – The Climate Crisis, the background and what is being done – Organic and permaculture farming methods – Practical skills training.

 

Team building and nature experiences

Studies about St Vincent and the Climate Crisis

Take care of our organic Garden Farm

3 MONTHS VOLUNTEERING PERIOD

Together with your team, you join our partner Richmond Vale Academy in St Vincent. They work with environmental sustainability and adaption to the changing climate in communities on the island: Sustainable energy production – Tree and mangrove planting – Improving food & water security, and more.

 

Construct a Bio Gas Plant in the local community

Protect Costal Vegetation

Environmental Actions with the community

1 MONTH EVALUATION & CALL TO ACTION

You return to CICD to conclude on your experiences. You prepare presentations – poems – street performances – or other ways to get your message out to people to people in UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe.

Enrolment fee: £ 500
Course fees: £ 3140. Includes food & accommodation in UK and St Vincent, all programme activities and return ticket from UK to St Vincent.
